More than a dozen Lehigh Valley recreation projects will get a piece of $90 million in statewide investments in the outdoors.

The round of grants is the state’s biggest-ever single allotment for conservation and recreation, according to a news release issued after Gov. Tom Wolf announced the grants on Tuesday in Lancaster County. A total of 330 projects are getting funds statewide.

The Lehigh Valley is getting $3.9 million for projects ranging from trails to skate parks, creek restorations to open-space plans. Here are the local grants awarded, listed by municipality.

Jordan Skate Park gets $398,600 for development including walkways, bleachers, fencing and lighting.

Another $100,000 was awarded to help the city develop a plan for recreation, parks and open space.

Monocacy Way Trail will benefit from $441,000 for the construction of 1.5 miles of trail from Schoenersville Road to the D&L Trail, along with other improvements.

Fairview Park will receive $105,000 for rehabilitation work including a new multi-purpose court and play equipment, accessibility, landscaping and other improvements.

The Nor-Bath Trail will get $300,000 awarded to Northampton County to construct a new trail segment from Jacksonville Road in East Allen to Mill Street in Bath, as well as improvements to access and other enhancements.

A Bushkill Creek dam removal and other rehabilitation along a 2-mile stretch will benefit from $140,000 awarded to the Wildlands Conservancy. (The federal government also recently awarded $1 million for a Bushkill dam removal.)

Vanderveer Park will get $115,000 for development of a loop trail, accessibility and other enhancements.

Lions Community Field is granted $318,400 to renovate a baseball field, build a loop trail, improve access and other improvements.

The Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary will get $335,000 via the Wildlife Conservancy to build a pedestrian walkway and bridge, improve access and other enhancements.

The Trexler Nature Preserve Trail System will get $350,000 to construct 1 mile of new trail and rehabilitate another 2 miles, including improvements to access and landscaping. The preserve, which includes the Lehigh Valley Zoo, extends into Lowhill Township.

The Two Rivers Trail will get $654,000 awarded to Northampton County to build 1.2 miles of new trail from Henry Road in Bushkill Township to Route 191 in Plainfield, as well as other improvements.

Gall Farm Preserve will benefit from $300,000 granted to Northampton County to construct walkways, a parking lot and stormwater management systems, and improve access and other enhancements.

Covered Bridge Park will receive $98,300 to construct a pavilion, improve access and other enhancements.

A study for the Northern Tier Trail will be aided by a $25,000 grant. The report will look at developing the trail from Minsi Lake Park in Upper Mount Bethel to the Delaware River in Portland.

$22,000 will help the township study the potential for a recreation center.

Another $36,800 will go toward the development of a township plan for recreation, parks and open space.

Fry’s Run will benefit from $120,000 awarded to the Wildlands Conservancy for rehabilitation of a 900-foot stretch, including stabilizing the streambank and habitat improvements.
