Pool Corp (POOL) said before open Thursday that it earned $7.63 per share in quarter two 2022. On the revenue line, the company reported $2.1 billion, missing estimates by $84 million. In the same quarter a year ago, the company earned $6.37 per share on revenue of $1.8 billion. The stock is down 8.33% to $363.69 after the report. Pool Corp's earnings expanded faster than revenues, signaling widening profit margins. Wall Street Analysts had an average rating of Buy on the stock prior to the report. InvestorsObserver gives the stock a Bullish Sentiment score at the moment based on recent trading. Pool Corp has performed a little below average during the past few months. Before the report, Pool Corp received a Long-Term Technical Rank by InvestorsObserver of 49, putting it in the bottom half of stocks. The firm was recently trading at a 52-week low of $324.14 on June 22, 2022 and set a 52-week high on November 19, 2021 at $582.27. Pool Corp distributes swimming pool supplies and related products. It sells national-brand and private-label products to approximately 120000 customers. The products include non-discretionary pool-maintenance products, like chemicals and replacement parts, as well as pool equipment, like packaged pools (kits to build swimming pools), cleaners, filters, heaters, pumps, and lights. Customers include pool builders and remodelers, independent retail stores, and pool repair and service companies.
