Celebrating Diwali? IKEA has just launched its new AROMATISK collection to help you deck your home in colour, light and joy.

Available online and in stores across the UK from September, the range is inspired by the famous festival of lights and features eye-catching home accessories. From patterned bedding to beautiful lanterns, each item showcases India's deep-rooted traditional crafts, including edge embroidery, block printing and indigo dyeing.

Diwali – which falls on 24th October this year – is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains and symbolises the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. During the festival, living spaces are decorated with lights and small oil lamps (known as diya). Fireworks are also an essential part of the occasion, and again, lights and oil lamps are lit on the streets.

'Being synonymous with the Diwali festival of lights, the marigold features prominently throughout the collection, which pairs perfectly with the bold splashes of colours and organic shapes seen within the range,' say IKEA. 'This inspiring and eye-catching range of home accessories is designed to make your home extra cosy whilst still feeling fit for a celebration!'
