Located in central Copenhagen’s Havnegade district, Soho House Copenhagen will be a “home for the vibrant Danish creative community to connect and hangout”.

Set across two floors, there is a members’ club space, a Club Cecconi’s restaurant serving Venetian-inspired dishes, and an outdoor waterfront terrace. Upstairs, there’s the Harbour Room – a relaxed space to work from in the day with a variety of events and entertainment hosted in the evening.

Situated in a former Danish customs house and ferry terminal built in 1937, the interiors of Soho House Copenhagen are inspired by the building’s history and are reflected in “subtle maritime details” throughout the club.Upon entering, members are met by a large painting by Kristian Touborg, as well as a three-tier Verner Panton shell chandelier, which hangs from the double-height ceiling.

To the right of reception, as people enter the main club space, there is a marble-topped, burlwood bar that serves cocktails. At Club Cecconi’s, dishes include spaghetti lobster and cacio e pepe, plus wood-fired langoustines in a chilli garlic butter, and cod, mussels and nduja butter with rainbow chard. The dining room is adorned with gloss-painted, scalloped-edged panelling that spans the entire space, with a large tiered glass chandelier and smaller chandeliers either side. Kvadrat linen curtains create a “luminous effect” against the windows. The main club space has been designed to have a “playful, contemporary feel” with bespoke timber flooring, vintage Danish furniture and lighting. A fabric DJ booth with a custom-made record display behind it is positioned in the corner of the room. Seating 140 guests, the outdoor terrace spans the length of the entire club. As with other Soho House outposts, a well curated art collection is important. Here, the piece have been created by 38 artists born, based, or trained in Denmark. Work represents both “emerging talent” and “museum-level” artists alike.
